One of the reasons we went into business for ourselves was so that we would have more flexibility in our schedules (not working a traditional 8-5 workday every day) to help the organizations we care about.
“The Central Oklahoma Humane Society has been very fortunate to have access to Emily Garman’s time and talent for over two years now. Emily has an incredible ability to pinpoint, organize and define the perfect marketing message for our cause. Her skills in social media, marketing and design would be a huge asset to any organization. Emily’s dedication to her art is evident in the quality of work she produces.”
Christy Counts, President
Central Oklahoma Humane Society
As a new business, we’re not yet in a position to donate money to causes that are important to us, but we can give something that we feel is even more valuable: our time and talents. We encourage EVERYONE to do this! No matter what you do, a nonprofit organization needs your talents and skills. No matter what it is you care passionately about, there’s an organization championing that effort. Get involved!
Oklahoma Media Group has been involved with pro bono work for several nonprofit agencies in Oklahoma City, and for those paying nonprofit clients, we typically discount our services around 75%. Our prices aren’t high to begin with, but typically, neither are nonprofit budgets. So this puts a range of quality services within reach for agencies doing good work.
OMG co-founder Emily Garman recently appeared at the OpenBeta 5 conference to give a 5-minute speech about her work with the Central Oklahoma Humane Society, a long-time OMG client that has benefited immeasurably from our social media campaign creation. (Actually, it IS measurable…ROI is one of the things she covers in this presentation!). Please watch the video here; you might get some ideas!
If you are a nonprofit, you know the survival of your organization in the future depends on reaching an online audience. If you don’t have a website, if you need a better website, if you aren’t using social media and you don’t know how–please contact us. We really do want to help you, and we can make it affordable!
